The University of Queensland in Australia Visits Shanghai International Studies University

     On the morning of December 3, 2024, Professor Brent Ritchie, Dean of the Business School of the University of Queensland in Australia, visited Shanghai International Studies University. Zhu Yushan, Deputy Dean of the Overseas Cooperation College of Shanghai International Studies University, met with the guests at the Hongkou Campus. 

     Zhu Yushan warmly welcomed the visit of Brent Ritchie. He reviewed the cooperation history between the Overseas Cooperation College and the University of Queensland. He said that the two sides had achieved remarkable results in the 1.5+2 project in the business field, and the number of project students had been increasing year by year. He hoped that in the future, the two sides would continue to actively explore new areas and jointly promote the cooperation to a higher level. 

     Brent Ritchie highly praised the teaching quality and student quality of the University of Queensland project at the Overseas Cooperation College of Shanghai International Studies University. He also specifically introduced the undergraduate programs in hotel management and tourism, as well as the undergraduate double degree program in language and tourism at the Business School of the University of Queensland. He looked forward to further deepening the connection between the two sides by exploring new cooperation models and creating more learning opportunities for project students. 

     After the meeting, Brent Ritchie held a special lecture for students of the undergraduate study abroad program at the University of Queensland, introducing the support provided by the University of Queensland in terms of study, life, and career guidance for international students, and patiently answering students' questions.
