hanghai International Studies University (SISU) were a record runner-up in the newly-released think-tank research quality ranking among all Shanghai universities and colleges.
At a recent research seminar, Dr. Jiang Feng, SISU’s university council chair said, that the university had started a range of initiatives, drawing on its strengths in political science and area studies, to enhance its capacity for offering research and consulting services to governments on national decision-making and strategic policies.
Ms. Cheng Lingzhi, deputy director of the Information Office at Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Professor Wang Youyong, director of SISU’s Office of Research Affairs, and other 20 scholars from the Middle East Studies Institute, School of International Relations and Public Affairs, School of Journalism and Communication, and School of European and Latin American Studies, shared their views on SISU’s planning of think-tank development.
The ranking list was issued by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.
