    Thirteen SISU graduates will join the People's Liberation Army (PLA) this year.

 hirteen graduates of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) will join the People's Liberation Army (PLA) this year.

Gong Fan, head of the Office of Campus Security, read out the army commands at the farewell meeting late September to the Army recruits and all the participating veterans, officers, teachers and more than 1,500 freshmen who were getting military training.

“I’m grateful to SISU, to my School. Although I have graduated, I will always live up to the expectations of my teachers, I will always remember that I am a SISUer, and I will always be proud of being a SISUer!” Hu Guanguan, a recruit said.

Gao Xiang, one of the 13 recruits, said he would obey orders resolutely, work hard, train assiduously, and cultivate himself into an excellent soldier. “I will always remember to redound to the honor of my alma mater, SISU,” he said.

The list of the 13 Army recruits is as follows: Yin meizi (School of Russian and Eurasian Studies); Zhang Xinyi, Huang Xinyang, Zhang Jianwei and Zhao Aijun (School of Business and Management); Liu Xin, Hong Yu and Si Tiebao (School of Law); Gu Hang (School of Asian and African Studies); Gao Xiang and Yang Jianan (School of English Studies); Li Desheng (School of Journalism and Communication); Liu Zhiteng (School of Education).
