On May 18, 2012, Former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin visited SISU and delivered a lecture.
Prof. Cao Deming, president of SISU and Prof. Zhang Hongling, directer of OICE and Prof. Xiao Yunshang, Dean of the French Department welcomed the guests. The two parties exchanged opinions on French and Chinese language education, and discussed Sino-France cooperation.
After the meeting, Former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin went to meet the students and delivered a lecture titled “Opening-up and Solidarity for the New World”. In the lecture, he made a brief overview of the world’s globalization process, and offered insights on Sino-Europe and Sino-France relationship. He expressed sincere hopes that young people in China and France should enhance their mutual understandings, which are vital to promoting bilateral relationship in the future.
