About the Office

The Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (OICE) functions as a gateway to internationalization of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). The office provides assistance to faculty, students and staff on international affairs, and serves as a source of information about SISU's global engagement.

Our office has three divisions: international exchange affairs, study-abroad programs, and international faculty affairs.

International Exchange Affairs Division is responsible for fostering a worldwide network of international collaboration, developing and maintaining international cooperation programs in teaching and research, facilitating the University's participation in international alliances and international organizations, organizing major foreign affairs activities and international conferences, supporting cultural exchange activities between China and other countries, and providing visa assistance for short-term foreign visitors. Contact Person: Mr. GU Jinyu (fao@shisu.edu.cn).

Study-Abroad Programs Division has two main functions: providing international educational and internship programs for students, and promoting Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools. The division also nominates candidates for different scholarships such as China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarship, Shanghai Municipal Scholarship, SISU Study Abroad Scholarship, and other foreign scholarships like Erasmus+. These programs offer students opportunities to study overseas as exchange students, visiting students, degree students and internship students for semesters. Contact Person: Ms. ZHU Junxuan (waiban@shisu.edu.cn)

International Faculty Affairs Division provides information for and about international faculty. Staying current with relevant regulations and policies, it assists schools and research institutes to recruit foreign faculty and provides professional expertise on work permit and visa applications. The division also organizes a variety of activities via SISU International Faculty Club, a platform for the communication among foreign faculty. Contact Person: Ms. ZHANG Yun (fea@shisu.edu.cn)
